Hi

Every time I try to connect my caravan battery, it blows the 25amp fuse that is connected from the battery box.  This has just happened recently - I have no idea what is causing it.  Nothing is connect, everything is switched off - but something is going on.

Can anyone help?

sounds like your've got a short check all leads are not bare where it goes in to van if its blowing fuses check what is on circuit a isolate them. check that battery is it round rightway i.e positve to positive  neg to neg . also have you taken it out to charge might have charged wrong polarity  if you take the battery to garage to have it checked they will check voltage to see if overcharged i.e over 13.8v what a fullycharged would be

also does it blow if you disconnect battery and then connct to car via grey lead

also check to see if it does it with no battery but connected to mains running off 12v circuit if it does then check all bulbs in van in case one blown and shorting out

hope this helps

    cheers john
